I'm in my third week of my new little job and so far I'm enjoying it. I basically shop for my entire shift and am getting paid for it! What could be better than that? I also began my journey as a Community Reporter for Fox 4 News in Kansas City three weeks ago and have written three published stories! I love that hobby so much that I have decided to change my major in college from Education to Journalism! We only live once and I've always dreamed of being a local news reporter and now I will strive to make that dream my reality.
It will take me longer to earn my degree, about a year or so longer than if would have stayed in Education, but I am eager to finish and begin my career.
A new me is the goal! I will blog my ups and downs and the in betweens of my journey to get back to the real me! The healthy, fit & trim me! The mom who is running with her kids, not watching from the sidelines! I will be tracking weekly; my meal planning, point intake, fitness & overall nutrition. Join me if your on a similar journey! This is going to be harder than anything I've done in a long time, but I'm prepared and ready to GO!

I did it! I got a new job!
I decided to just go for it last week! I went on a mini job search! I went to our local mall and the first store I stopped into hired me three days later! Good timing I thought. Maybe they were just desperate or maybe I seemed so to them, but all in all I start this new journey next week and am thoroughly excited!
Not to mention the rock star employee discount they offer! :-)

return to work part time?...big decision.
I've been a stay at home mommy for some time which has surprisingly kept me more busy than I originally planned! I've worked little jobs off and on for the last 4 and 1/2 years. My favorite job, at the bank, lasted two years! But, I'm thinking of doing something new, just part time. No long hours and nothing to high on the stress level. I'll still be that every day mommy to the kids, but when the hubby gets home, I would leave to a little job for a couple hours, a few days a week.
The money will help a lot. We're wanting to buy a home by end of Summer 2011 at the latest(before Lacey starts kindergarten). So, my going back to work now will help our financing of the house, just to show the two incomes, let alone putting the extra money aside into savings. I just am not 100% sure I'm ready to leave Brody yet. He's almost 16 months and I am just a little attached to him now. Lacey has started pre-K in the afternoons, so I now have this alone time with just him. We haven't had that yet. Since I'd be working evenings, I would still get that alone time, but will be losing time with Lacey since she's in preschool now. I'd only see her in the mornings and right before bed, four days a week. What's a mom to decide? I know it will benefit us and I think it will work out. I've given it to God though to really work through and lead me to the right place. Time will tell...

First ever blog for this wife and mommy of two monsters!~I mean, blessings...
I have decided that I should blog. Why? because everyone else is doing it of course! I love to write and people always want to know what is going on in our lives so they can see it all right here! An online diary of sorts.
Our lives aren't too exciting, which I happen to adore that very aspect of it! The mundane little everyday things are what I simply cherish. I don't need excitment or drama or something out of control, simplicity is best. We are a spur of the moment family. Don't plan many things too far in advance. If we decide to take a weekend getaway, we'll plan it maybe 2 or 3 days prior or decide that morning to just get up and GO!
Me in a brief, salty coated nutshell; I am a wife established in 2004. I am a mommy since 2006 to Lacey and since 2009 to Brody. These three people complete me and have inspired me to be a better person. I have to be better if I'm to raise two people who could change the world someday! We live in a small home, though are hoping to purchase our 1st house in 2011! I'm a college student who is taking the semester off this Fall to figure out what I really want to be when I grow up. Maybe be a teacher? Maybe a real estate agent? Maybe a short term missionary? God knows. He'll fill me in when it's time.
Until then, I will patiently wait......and blog!
